How to Build a Girl
May 7, 2020Oh, David! A Schitt’s Creek appreciation.
April 6, 2020This little show that could (and did) did not start out to be the warm embrace everybody needed. Back some six years ago, Dan Levy just wanted to spin a comedy around the concept of a rich American family losing their money. Privilege meets pauper. Could be fun.

The Last Full Measure
January 22, 2020It’s taken over 50 years to get the story to the screen of how and why Air Force medic William H. Pitsenbarger earned his Medal of Honor. In light of this country’s continuing issues with the legacy of the Vietnam War and its veterans, the film packs an earnest and long time in coming punch.
Just Mercy
January 7, 2020Sometimes, a film doesn’t have to be “elevated” in order to be effective. While this story of injustice isn’t artsy or showy, thanks to its heart breaking basis, along with some terrific performances, it had me in tears throughout.
